Oral cancer screening is an essential part of your examination. We thorough assess the head and neck and face regions for swollen lymph nodes or glands, skin lesions, change in musculature and symmetry. We then extensively assess and exam the inside surfaces of the lips, cheeks, floor of the mouth, all surfaces of the tongue, throat and tonsillar regions. There are many various types of tissue changes that can occur in the mouth, some normal and some not. We work closely with specialists to determine if any change is of concern.
